Flying:
- Several Kenyan Airlines use Mara North Airstrip, including Safarilink, AirKenya and Mombasa Air
- From Nairobi (Wilson Airport) with Safarilink, Airkenya and ALS
- From Northern Kenya (Nanyuki, Lewa, and Samburu), with Safarilink and Air Kenya, depending on routing and availability
- From Amboseli with Safarilink and Air Kenya, depending on routing and availability
- From Mombasa with Mombasa Air
- Private charters and private plans from anywhere in Kenya.
Driving:
The Maasai Mara is approximately 280 km west of Nairobi, and driving takes about 5-6 hours. Nairobi to Narok takes about 2-2.5 hours, and about 3 additional hours to the Mara North Conservancies. The road is scenic and makes for a fun road trip. There are several fuel stations in Narok, which is also a great stop for food and snacks. Please confirm with your accommodation and check for the best route on the day of your travel, which may change depending on weather conditions.
